We teamed up with Richardson Studio to create the branding and interior of this pizza restaurant in Crystal Palace, London. The brief placed the emphasis in simplicity and fun. To reflect the beautifully simple approach to pizza we went for a design aesthetic as fresh as the ingredients and not remotely traditional. Skewing the Italian aesthetic by warping the classic red and green, into pink and jade the colour palette feels at once striking and subtly Italian.
The name ‘Four Hundred Rabbits’ is inspired by Aztec folklore. Essentially, two fermentation loving gods ‘got it on’ one night and spawned a bunch of offspring known as the Centzon Totochtin AKA Four Hundred Rabbit Gods. These rabbit gods liked to party, drink and generally get into mischief.
"Emma captured the feel of Four Hundred Rabbits perfectly. Working with her is a pleasure, one of those rare people who just instantly gets what you are about and can translate it perfectly into a finished product"
Daniel Edwards, Owner, Four Hundred Rabbits
