The brief

Create a brand that defines a completely new sector, and make entomophagy for pets normal. Since launch, Yora has sparked an anormous amount of interset around the world.

We were in the enviable position of being both designer and client for this project, as it's the brainchild of Tom, our creative director.

Entomophagy is growing in popularity around the world as an ethical and sustainable source of nutrition, but it remains a niche and relatively untapped market in the pet industry.

The product is named Yora in honour of one of the last uncontacted Amazonian tribes - it's indeginous people like these who are most at risk of the west's insatiable appetite for meat.

Yora's packaging has to work hard to communicate the numerous benefits of feeding an insect based diet to pets, and to make those nutritious grubs look appealing to consumers.

The incredibly talented Yukai Du helped us to create a distinctive visual language through her illustrations and animations.
